After experiencing a quarter-life crisis, a young Chinese-American woman makes the bold decision to abandon her college studies and embarks on a transformative expedition to a secluded monastery nestled in the heart of China. Upon her return, she is dismayed to discover her hometown engulfed in a wave of lawlessness and deceit.
