The Goob (2014)

During a scorching heat-wave in the heart of Fenland, England, Goob Taylor has dedicated all sixteen of his summers to assisting his mother in managing the local transport cafe and working in the beet fields. But when his mother starts a relationship with the charismatic stock-car racing champion and notorious ladies' man Gene Womack, Goob suddenly feels like a forgotten bystander. Everything changes for Goob when an alluring beet picker named Eva enters the scene, stirring up his aspirations with her playful remarks. Influenced by Eva's presence, Goob starts envisioning a brighter future for himself.
