Will and Dawn find themselves in dire financial straits when Will's anticipated job vanishes amid a market crash, leaving them in a precarious situation. As they journey home along a wintry highway, they encounter siblings Lee and Cheryl, hitchhikers seeking a fresh start. A fateful encounter with a frostbitten, disoriented old man leads to a surprising discovery within his belongings: a substantial sum of money, a cryptic map with GPS coordinates, and a solitary gold coin. Reluctantly, Will and Dawn agree to Lee's proposal to anonymously report the man to authorities and keep the cash. Driven by desperation, the group embarks on a perilous quest through the snow-covered wilderness in pursuit of the hidden treasure, hoping to alleviate their financial woes.
