Tikkun (2015)

In the heart of Jerusalem resides Haim-Aaron, a brilliant scholar devoted to ultra-orthodox beliefs, admired by many for his exceptional abilities. One fateful night, after a rigorous self-imposed fast, Haim-Aaron falls unconscious, believed to have passed away by the paramedics. Against all odds, his father takes charge of resuscitation and miraculously brings him back to life. However, following this near-death experience, Haim-Aaron finds himself dispassionate towards his studies, grappling with a newfound physical awareness that he perceives as a divine trial. Contemplating a deviation from his predetermined path, he questions how to reignite his faith amidst this existential dilemma. Known as "Tikkun" in Hebrew, this thought-provoking film delves into themes of redemption and spiritual awakening.
