The Devil Is a Woman (1935)

During the vibrant carnival atmosphere of Spain at the turn of the Twentieth Century, the republican exile Antonio Galvan arrives incognito from Paris to revel in the festivities and reunite with his comrade, Captain Don Pasqual 'Pasqualito' Costelar. Amidst the revelry, Antonio becomes entangled with the enigmatic Concha Perez, leading to a clandestine rendezvous. Upon confiding in Pasqualito, Antonio learns of his friend's tumultuous entanglement with the alluring yet manipulative Concha and her avaricious mother, which has left Pasqualito's life in disarray due to his infatuation with the captivating woman. Pasqualito implores Antonio to resist Concha's charms, but when Antonio succumbs to her seduction, a rift forms in their longstanding friendship, causing upheaval in their lives.
