The Curse (1987)

In the midst of striving to maintain his family and preserve his land, Nathan Hayes, a devout individual, faces a challenge when a wealthy property developer eyes most of the farmland in the region, including the Hayes family's cherished farm. The developer's ambition is to secure the town as the location for a new dam and leisure spot, pending the decision of the Tennessee Valley Authority. However, fate takes a dark turn one stormy night when a mysterious, luminous object collides onto the Hayes farm, unleashing a malevolent curse upon both the Hayes family and the local residents.
