Story :

After a Supreme Court justice takes his own life and his secretary is discovered slain, suspicion falls heavily on Carl Anderson, a homeless war veteran who cannot hear or speak. However, when attorney Kathleen Riley is appointed to defend him, she starts to suspect that Anderson might be wrongly accused. Lobbyist Eddie Sanger, serving on the jury, shares her doubts, prompting the two to embark on an independent inquiry into the mysterious occurrences.
