Striking Distance (1993)

Raised in a family of law enforcement officers, Tom Hardy finds himself entangled in a conflict with his own uncle following the tragic demise of his father. Convinced that the perpetrator is a fellow police officer, Tom takes a bold stand by publicly accusing the individual. Relegated to patrol duty along the waterways, Tom teams up with his new colleague, Jo Christman, as they traverse through the interconnected rivers in pursuit of leads and uncovering a series of grim discoveries. As the deceased turn out to be women familiar to Tom, he is compelled to track down the murderer in order to clear his name.
