Speed (1994)

Jack Traven, a dedicated LAPD officer assigned to the SWAT unit, and his experienced colleague Harry Temple successfully put a stop to the dangerous plans of an extortionist who threatened to blow up a bus unless he received a hefty ransom of $3 million. Despite their efforts, the criminal manages to escape and seemingly perishes in a blast from his own bomb vest. However, Jack's world is once again thrown into chaos when he witnesses a horrific explosion on a bustling city bus. To his astonishment, the same sinister bomber reaches out to him over a ringing pay phone, seeking revenge and the money he believes he is owed. The criminal sets a chilling ultimatum: a bomb is planted on another bus, primed to detonate if the vehicle's speed drops below 50 mph - a terrifying prospect in the congested streets of Los Angeles. This spine-tingling ordeal marks only the beginning of a harrowing journey for Jack and his team.
