Siberia, Monamour (2011)

In the heart of Siberia, as the late autumn chill settles over the land, an elderly man named Ivan and his seven-year-old grandson, Leshia, reside in a remote village nestled within the vast taiga. Surrounding them, a savage pack of wild dogs ruthlessly scavenges for sustenance. Among them, one particular dog holds a special place in Leshia's heart as his closest companion. Their only link to the outside world is Ivan's brother, Uncle Yuri, who sporadically brings them provisions. Tragically, on one fateful journey to the village, Uncle Yuri falls victim to a brutal dog attack, leaving Ivan and Leshia stranded without resources. When Ivan is forced to take drastic action against the very dog that Leshia holds dear, the boy flees in distress, leading to a harrowing accident that leaves him trapped in a desolate well. In a desperate bid to save his grandson, Ivan embarks on a perilous journey through the unforgiving taiga in search of aid, all the while pursued by the relentless pack of predators. As Ivan struggles for survival, Leshia's fate hangs in the balance, his hopes pinned on the distant arrival of his father...
