Never Back Down (2008)

Filled with a simmering rage following the loss of his father, Jake is beginning to carve out a niche for himself at his unfamiliar Orlando high school. However, his newfound stability is shattered when Ryan, the leader of a clandestine MMA fighting circle, singles out Jake as a worthy adversary. Publicly humiliated by Ryan in front of his peers, Jake takes refuge under the tutelage of a disciplined MMA expert who imparts not only combat skills but also the wisdom of conflict avoidance.
