Neruda (2016)

In the backdrop of 1948 Chile, the chilling winds of the Cold War sweep through the nation. A celebrated Communist Senator and renowned poet, Pablo Neruda, boldly denounces the government in Congress for its perceived treachery against the Party. In a swift and decisive move, President González Videla strips Neruda of his parliamentary immunity. Subsequently, the Head of Investigative Police tasks inspector Óscar Peluchonneau with the mission to apprehend the defiant poet. Faced with imminent capture, Neruda and his wife, the talented painter Delia del Carril, embark on a daring journey underground in a bid to flee the country.
