Moonlighting (1982)

Nowak, a contractor from Poland, takes charge of a team of laborers on a journey to London, where they are hired to work for a government official seeking inexpensive workers. As they navigate the allure of the Western world and grapple with feelings of isolation and longing for their loved ones back home, Nowak must not only oversee the project but also serve as the sole English speaker among them, leveraging his language skills to guide his colleagues. However, when political turmoil erupts in Poland, culminating in a military coup, Nowak finds himself confronted with unforeseen challenges that test his resolve in ways he never anticipated.
