Highway to Hellas (2015)

Jorg Geissner, a German banker, experiences a profound transformation when he journeys to Paladiki Island in Greece. Visiting the island for a business trip related to a project known as “Galapagos in Greece,” funded by his bank, Jorg is determined to conduct a thorough investigation. However, his efforts are constantly thwarted by Panos, a local mini-mart owner, and the mayor, who are intent on concealing a less-than-ideal truth. Despite facing numerous obstacles caused by the islanders' covert interference, Jorg's stay on Paladiki Island extends unexpectedly, mirroring the epic journey of Odysseus. This prolonged visit prompts Jorg to reassess his values and obligations, leading to a reevaluation of his life's priorities.
