Forbidden Empire (2014)

In the early 1700s, cartographer Jonathan Green embarks on a scientific expedition from Europe to the East. After traveling through Transylvania and traversing the Carpathian Mountains, he stumbles upon a remote village hidden in dense, unfathomable forests. It seems as though only a stroke of luck and thick fog could have led him to this accursed place. The inhabitants of this village are unlike any others the traveler has encountered. They have constructed a deep moat around their settlement to isolate themselves from the outside world, convinced that they can shield themselves from malevolence. However, they fail to realize that darkness has already taken root in their souls, patiently awaiting an opportunity to unleash its wrath upon the world.
