Brother’s Keeper (2021)

Yusuf and his closest companion Memo are enrolled in a boarding school specifically for Kurdish boys, situated in the remote mountains of Eastern Anatolia. When Memo unexpectedly falls ill, Yusuf is confronted with navigating the obstacles created by the authoritarian figures at the school in order to assist his friend. As the gravity of Memo's condition is finally grasped by the adults, efforts to transport him to the hospital are thwarted by a sudden and heavy snowstorm that blankets the school. Trapped and increasingly desperate for medical help, a tumult of accusations, remorse, and concealed truths surfaces among the teachers and students as time relentlessly slips away, leaving their fate hanging by a thread.
