Story :

After displaying extraordinary valor during Hurricane Katrina, Terrence McDonagh, a dedicated sergeant in the New Orleans Police force, is honored with a medal and a rank promotion to lieutenant. However, the price of his heroism comes in the form of a debilitating back injury that leads him down a dark path of dependency on prescription painkillers.
