Alone in Berlin (2016)

In the midst of June 1940 Berlin, a somber atmosphere envelops a modest kitchen-living space in Prenzlauer Berg. The Quangel couple, Anna and Otto, mourn the loss of their son to the war, contrasting the prevailing Nazi jubilation following the conquest of France. Former supporters of the regime, they now see through the false veneer of Hitler's leadership. Driven by a newfound conviction, they embark on a clandestine mission of dissent, penning postcards that challenge the war and call for Hitler's downfall. Risking their safety, they clandestinely scatter these messages in the crevices of tenement buildings and staircases, hoping to ignite awareness and resistance. However, as the Gestapo and SS close in, the Quangels find themselves surrounded by danger, even from those they once considered neighbors.
